Rita T. Belair, 85, of Temperance, MI, died Friday, August 21, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.  Born June 4, 1930, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Ernest and Frances (Holewinski) Szczublewski.  She married Elery Belair on February 23, 1952.  He preceded her in death on April 29, 2001. Rita was proud of her Polish heritage, and enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with her husband,  playing cards, and trips to the casino. She treasured her time living at Moongate Adult Living, where she made special friends and wonderful memories.

Rita is survived by her loving children, Janet (Randy) Utter, Gary Belair, Larry (Jan) Belair, and Gail (David) Wells; grandchildren, Jill, Tricia, Jennifer, Rick, Brittany, Courtney, Deena, Robert and Patrick; great grandchildren, Brenna, Sophia, Collin, Joe, Tyler, Nick, Lila, Aubrey,  Zoey, Henry, Dominik, Gavin and Madelyn. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Stanley, Walter, Edward, and Raymond Szczublewski and sisters, Eleanor Cousino Miller and Matilda Lajiness.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday,  August 24, 2015, at 11:00 am, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
